Shipping Policy

Incoterms

Trade terms are agreed per order and stated on the corresponding quotation and invoice. State your preferred terms (FOB, CIF, EXW or another) in your inquiry and we will quote against them. Where no term is agreed, risk and cost allocation follow the term stated on the invoice.

Shipping methods

• Sea freight — lowest cost per unit, best for full containers and palletised wholesale orders; longest transit.
• Air freight — a middle option for urgent medium-volume orders.
• International express — fastest, best for samples, small orders and artwork or spare parts.
• Buyer’s own forwarder — we can ship against your forwarder account where you have one.

Packing

Goods are packed for export in cartons appropriate to the mode of transport quoted, with inner protection suited to the product. LED bulbs and strips are bulky relative to value, so packing format affects freight cost significantly — bulk or SKD packing is available on request where you repack locally.

Carton markings, printed cartons and retail-ready packaging are part of OEM service and are quoted separately from the goods.

Lead times

Production lead time and transit time are separate figures. Samples take 2-5 days to produce; mass production takes 1-2 weeks on existing tooling, longer where custom tooling or packaging is involved. Transit time depends on the mode and destination and is confirmed with your quotation.

Documents

Standard export documentation is issued for each shipment, typically including the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading or airway bill. Certificates of origin or specific certification documents are provided where available and where requested — raise the requirement at inquiry stage so it can be confirmed for the exact model before you commit.

Duties, taxes and clearance

Unless the quotation states otherwise, import duties, value-added tax, customs clearance charges and any destination registration or certification fees are payable by the buyer. Duty rates depend on the HS classification of the goods and the destination, and LED bulbs and LED fixtures do not always fall under the same heading. Confirm classification with your customs broker rather than assuming.

Damage in transit

Report visible damage or shortage on the carrier documents at the time of receipt and notify us promptly with photographs and the quantity affected. Doing this at the point of receipt is what makes a freight claim possible; reporting it days later usually cannot be recovered.
